ChemDesign Products a custom manufacturer and leader in multistep synthetic organic chemistry,
located in beautiful Marinette, Wisconsin is looking for a day shift production manager. The incumbent
will be responsible for a production unit which runs 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Position includes responsibility
for 20 direct reports as well as maintaining high standards of industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, safety,
and production performance. Typically the unit will run 3 to 5 different product trains at 1000+ gallon scale.
Successful candidates must have a strong chemical engineering background as well as a drive for continuous improvement.
This is a growth position and an incredible opportunity to develop a full understanding of chemical manufacture in a
fast paced dynamic setting. ChemDesign is a world leader in custom manufacture with high visibility among numerous major
manufacturers in the chemical industry. In addition to operation management, the incumbent will be intimately involved in

Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of technology transfer and startup for new chemical processes.
- Ensure that capital projects are designed and installed so the plant can meet quality, yield and process rate goals, as well as operate safely.
- Implement pro-active procedures to monitor quality, yields and process rates to ensure that all processes perform as required to be commercial success.
- Provide process engineering and troubleshooting expertise for plant operations.

Quality Control Analyst

The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for analyzing samples for in process testing and final product shipments. Additional responsibilities include setting up test methods according to
procedure and calibrating the equipment to assure accuracy.

Principle Project Engineer
ChemDesign Products, Inc. is seeking a qualified Principle Project Engineer to manage chemical production processes.
|
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical (Engineering) liaison between ChemDesign and our customers to assure efficient and safe technology transfer of chemical processes from customers into our production plant.
- Configure and install chemical processes to the production areas.
- Determine, size, select and source for specialty chemical equipment, with appropriate safety devices, for specialty chemical manufacturing.
- Manage the installation of procured chemical equipment
- Reconfigure existing equipment train to include appropriate safety components and additional equipment for safe installation and running of new chemical processes.
- Manage site maintenance including planning, scheduling and controlling daily activities.
- Establish and manage efficient equipment proactive maintenance program, including the use of predictive maintenance technologies.
- Provide Engineering guidelines at Process Hazard Assessment (PHA) to assure that safety concerns associated with new chemical processes are engineered out.
- Assure that optimal levels of spare parts inventory is kept for all equipment in the plant
- Manage both project and maintenance budgets.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:
A Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
An advanced (masters) degree in Engineering Management or Industrial Engineering
- Knowledge of wide variety of chemical processes and in-process design, process development and control, scale-up of processes, process troubleshooting and plant operations.
- A general understanding of rotating equipment: agitators, pumps, centrifuges, dryers, compressors, etc.
- Experience with the principles of Process Safety Management.
- Understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations regarding chemical process installations.
- The ability to multi task, plan, and set priorities.
- Strong leadership and ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, to all levels of employees
